| January 2006 Though we are still in a building period here at the Wesley, God is already presenting us with opportunities to further His Kingdom. Our leadership teams have been chomping at the bit to get their own small group Bible studies started and have shown themselves to be obedient to God by stepping out in faith and allowing Him to use them. We are also beginning a foundational Bible study on Wednesdays during lunch that will allow us to take a look at what Christians are today compared to those of the first century.
Tuesday Free Lunch Our primary ministry here at South Plains College is the Tuesday Free Lunch in which we are able to feed on average 170 and 200 college students. This ministry is the door through which the Gospel and hope of Jesus Christ can be shared. God has also blessed us with a wonderful family of Churches who have already committed to helping our ministry through the Tuesday Free lunch, However, there are still a few dates that remain open. If your church would like to help please contact us. Free Lunch Schedule
Mission: Mississippi
The Wesley Foundation is teaming up with Wolfforth United Methodist Church for spring break in order to share the hope of Jesus Christ with those whose lives were forever changed during the past hurricane season. Although the details of the trip are still being worked out, a total of 20 people from the Wesley and WUMC are expected to take part in a joint effort with the Red Cross. Stay posted for any updates. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
